PRODUCT INFORMATION
Iron jugs originated in Japan and are still made in the traditional way. However, they are also available in countries such as Taiwan, Thailand and China. There are two main types: Iron teapots with enamel coating and those without coating.

To keep your iron teapot for a long time, please follow our care instructions. Although cast iron teapots and accessories offer a classy and unique look, there are some important things to keep in mind when handling and caring for them. Before using the iron teapot for the first time, rinse it thoroughly with hot water.

The non-enameled cast iron tea kettle is traditionally used to heat water for tea. It is the original form of iron teapots and remains unrefined. This tea kettle easily accumulates rust, which may even be desirable for some tea drinkers, as it adds a slight iron flavor to the tea.
